Test System for Assessing T-Cell Immune Response to SARS-CoV-2Test System for Assessing T-Cell Immune Response to SARS-CoV-2 The role of cellular immune response in protection against SARS-CoV-2:The cellular immune response, mediated by the generation of specific T-lymphocytes that recognize viral antigens, represents a critical component of protective immunological reactions against SARS-CoV-2. Assessing specific T-cell immunity to SARS-CoV-2 antigenic determinants in patients has become increasingly important, supported by accumulating evidence on the role of T-cell response in COVID-19 progression and viral clearance during reinfection.
We have developed a test to evaluate the body's specific sensitivity to SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Key features of the antigen in the test system:- Targets conserved regions across global SARS-CoV-2 variants
- Incorporates a chimeric design containing immunogenic sequences from all viral structural proteins
Advantages of the approach:- Detects T-cell immune response even when generated against just one SARS-CoV-2 structural protein
- Enables evaluation of post-vaccination immune response, including for vaccines that: Lack full-length Spike protein or RBD domain; Do not encode protein fragments targeted by antibody tests (IgG/IgM) in existing diagnostic systems
