The first construct was tested in a mouse model of lethal herpes vaginitis caused by herpes simplex virus type 2 (Human alphaherpesvirus 2). In these trials, our developed vaccine demonstrated higher efficacy compared to the control vaccine Vitagerpavac.The developed and tested candidate vaccine has been granted Patent No. RU2016145253A.
