Teduglutide
Teduglutide is a therapeutic peptide analog of glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2) used to treat short bowel syndrome (SBS) in adult patients dependent on parenteral nutrition due to intestinal insufficiency following surgical resection or congenital pathologies. We produce teduglutide through genetic engineering using Escherichia coli cells.

Mechanism of Action:
Stimulation of Intestinal Mucosal Growth and Repair
Teduglutide activates GLP-2 receptors, leading to increased intestinal villus height and crypt depth, thereby enhancing intestinal absorptive capacity.

Improved Intestinal Blood Flow
The medication enhances intestinal blood supply, supporting optimal intestinal functionality.

Teduglutide represents a crucial therapeutic option for short bowel syndrome patients, improving intestinal function and reducing dependence on parenteral nutrition.
